Images and Results
Imaging exams performed at UConn Health Imaging are interpreted by the radiol- ogists from UConn Health. Our board certified radiologists provide specialized reads for abdominal, thoracic, breast, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology and pediatric radiology.
The technologists at UConn Health Imaging have completed specialized education in radiology and have advanced level certification in their area of expertise. Each is licensed and holds registries certifying their qualifications to perform the exams. This level of expertise ensures not only quality, but safety as well.
Once the study is completed by a skilled technologists, our radiologists will review the images taken. Their expert evaluation will produce a detailed report that is then sent back to the referring provider for review. This typically happens within 24 hours of exam completion so that patients and provider have fast answers and can proceed with a most suitable treatment plan.
